Cruising on the Nile
Sometimes I have to remind myself that the river I live next to is the Nile, the mother of Civilization. I may be on the Nile, but at least I am not in denial. get it?
As a former Fulbright Fellow and graduate of the University of Michigan, I take my research seriously. I don't like unturned rocks, especially when it comes to my favorite field of study: Arab and Islamic Studies. My studies have sent me all over the Middle East--spending extensive time in the West Bank and Egypt--and my work with the National Democratic Institute has given me the opportunity to return on numerous occasions.
